The 4-inch square capacitive touch display combines a 480 × 480 resolution, G+G touch structure, and OCA optical bonding in a compact 1:1 format. Its square form factor provides more usable space for interfaces where a conventional rectangular display may not fit the mechanical layout.
With a chemically strengthened 2.0 mm cover glass, 7H minimum surface hardness, and a touch transmittance of 85%, the display is designed for clear and responsive touch interaction. The module supports MIPI display and IIC touch interfaces, with 5-point finger touch and an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C.
Its compact size and square format make it suitable for embedded control interfaces, compact equipment, instrumentation, and other applications requiring a non-standard display shape.

1. What is the advantage of a square 480 × 480 display?
A square 480 × 480 display provides a 1:1 interface area rather than the wider format of a conventional rectangular display. This can simplify mechanical integration and UI design for equipment with a compact or square front panel.
2. Does the display use optical bonding?
Yes. The display uses OCA optical bonding, which removes the conventional air gap between the display and touch layers. This can reduce internal reflections and improve visual integration between the display and cover glass.
3. What host interfaces are required?
The display uses a MIPI interface, while the capacitive touch function uses IIC. The host system therefore needs to support both interfaces or use an appropriate interface solution during integration.
4. Is this display suitable for outdoor use?
The module has a typical luminance of 360 cd/m², so it is better suited to indoor or controlled-light environments. For direct sunlight applications, a higher-brightness display and additional optical treatment may be required.
5. What should be considered when integrating this display into equipment?
Mechanical clearance, mounting method, MIPI signal compatibility, IIC communication, power requirements, and the 96.6 × 96.6 mm module outline should be checked before integration. The square form factor can be particularly useful when the available panel space is close to a 1:1 layout.
6. Can the touch display be customized for a different application?
Yes. Depending on project requirements, touch cover glass, mechanical dimensions, optical bonding, touch configuration, and other display or touch parameters can be evaluated as part of a custom display project.
