This project involved upgrading an existing payment terminal display used in semi-outdoor fuel station environments. The customer required improved touch performance while maintaining mechanical robustness.
 

Technical Root Cause Analysis

Signal Attenuation Caused by Thick Cover Glass

Increasing cover glass thickness increases signal attenuation between finger and the sensor layer.

At 5mm thickness, the signal margin became unstable under specific environmental interference.
