The FN0840P007A is an 8.4 inch G+G projected capacitive touch panel featuring optical bonding, a 3.0 mm chemically strengthened cover glass, and a Microchip maXTouch® mXT2952TD touch controller. Designed for custom embedded systems, it supports 10-point touch and can be integrated into industrial HMI, medical, and commercial equipment where durability and optical performance are important.
The touch panel is manufactured with optical bonding, reducing internal reflections between layers and improving display clarity compared with conventional air-bonded assemblies. Optical bonding can also help minimize condensation inside the display stack in demanding environments.
The 3.0 mm cover glass provides increased mechanical strength for applications where the touch surface may be exposed to frequent operation or accidental impact. Depending on project requirements, cover glass dimensions and edge treatments can be customized.
An AF (Anti-Fingerprint) coating helps reduce visible fingerprints and makes routine cleaning easier. It is particularly useful for equipment operated throughout the day, such as control panels and self-service terminals.
The panel integrates the Microchip maXTouch mXT2952TD controller and supports 10-point projected capacitive touch, making it suitable for modern graphical user interfaces and gesture-based interaction.
Rather than being a standard retail component, the touch panel is intended for integration into OEM equipment. Mechanical dimensions, cover glass printing, logos, and other details can be customized according to the application.

Optical bonding fills the air gap between layers with a transparent adhesive. Compared with air bonding, it generally reduces internal reflections, improves perceived contrast, and helps limit condensation inside the display assembly. However, it also increases manufacturing complexity and cost.
No. An anti-fingerprint (AF) coating is intended to reduce fingerprint residue and make the surface easier to clean. Anti-glare (AG) treatment is designed to reduce reflected light. Some applications combine both treatments, while others require only one depending on the installation environment.
Yes. The cover glass can typically be customized with different thicknesses, shapes, silk-screen printing, logos, decorative borders, holes, and edge finishing based on project requirements.
No. FN0840P007A is a standalone capacitive touch panel. It is intended to be integrated with a compatible TFT LCD or a custom display assembly.
Yes. OEM projects often require adjustments to the cover glass, controller configuration, FPC design, optical bonding process, or mechanical dimensions to match the target equipment.
