The FN0500T050A is a 5 inch capacitive touch display integrating an 800 × 480 TFT LCD with a projected capacitive touch panel. With a typical TPM brightness of 720 cd/m², it offers improved readability in bright indoor environments and enclosed equipment exposed to strong ambient light, while maintaining reliable multi-touch operation for embedded HMI applications.
The integrated touch display delivers a typical brightness of 720 cd/m² after touch integration. Unlike bare LCD brightness, this value reflects the actual brightness available through the touch panel, providing a more realistic reference for system designers.
While suitable for many bright indoor and semi-outdoor applications, continuous direct sunlight may still require optical bonding or higher brightness depending on the installation.
The module combines an 800 × 480 TFT LCD with a projected capacitive touch panel, simplifying mechanical integration and reducing component matching during product development.
The touch panel uses the Microchip maXTouch mXT336U controller, supporting stable capacitive touch performance and 5 simultaneous touch points for modern embedded user interfaces.
The LCD communicates through a 24-bit RGB interface, making it suitable for a wide range of embedded processors and display controller platforms.
