The FN0340T002A is a 3.4-inch round touch display combining an 800 × 800 TFT LCD with a G+G projected capacitive touch panel. The finished module uses optical bonding with OCA and provides 550 cd/m² typical TPM surface luminance. With a 110 × 110 mm overall size and a circular viewing area, it is intended for compact equipment and interfaces where the display shape is part of the product design.
The module uses MIPI for the display and I²C for touch communication. The chemically strengthened cover glass has a minimum surface hardness of 7H.
The circular form factor allows the display to be integrated into products where a conventional rectangular panel would leave unused space or conflict with the enclosure design. It can also be used where a circular user interface is part of the overall product appearance.
The 800 × 800 resolution provides a square pixel area that works naturally with the round active display region. It gives designers flexibility for circular menus, gauges, status indicators, and other graphical interfaces.
The touch panel and TFT are optically bonded using OCA. Removing the conventional air gap helps reduce internal reflections and can improve perceived image quality, particularly when the display is viewed under ambient lighting.
The specified 550 cd/m² typical luminance is measured on the finished TPM, rather than the TFT alone. This gives the module more usable brightness than a basic indoor touch display, although direct-sunlight readability still depends on the complete optical stack and installation environment.
The module uses a glass-on-glass touch structure with 5-point finger input. The cover glass is chemically strengthened and specified at ≥7H surface hardness, providing a relatively robust front surface for repeated touch operation.
With an overall size of approximately 110 × 110 × 8.5 mm, the module is intended for applications where available panel space is limited and the display needs to fit within a compact enclosure.

The round display can be used for compact control interfaces where a circular screen provides a better fit than a conventional rectangular panel.
Its circular format is naturally suited to gauge-style interfaces, status indicators, measurement displays, and instrument panels.
The module can be integrated into compact industrial equipment, controllers, and monitoring devices where touch input and a non-rectangular display format are required.
The display can also be considered for specialized embedded equipment, access terminals, control devices, and other products where the display shape is part of the mechanical or user-interface design.
For OEM products with a circular front panel or enclosure, the module provides a starting point for integrating display and touch functions into the same assembly rather than designing around a standard rectangular LCD.

The main reason is mechanical and interface design. A round display can fit naturally into circular housings, instrument panels, gauges, and compact products where a rectangular screen would either waste space or require compromises in the enclosure design.
No. 800 × 800 describes the TFT's pixel resolution, while the finished display has a circular viewing format. The square pixel matrix provides the underlying image area from which the circular display shape is defined.
Optical bonding can reduce reflections caused by the air gap between the touch panel and LCD and improve perceived contrast. It does not, by itself, make a display sunlight-readable. For outdoor use, the complete optical stack, cover glass, surface treatment, viewing angle, and ambient light should be evaluated together.
The enclosure should account for the 110 × 110 mm module outline, circular viewing area, approximately 8.5 mm total thickness, and the location of the display and touch connections. The host system also needs to support the MIPI display interface and I²C touch interface. For a custom enclosure, the mechanical drawing should be reviewed before finalizing the mounting design.
