The FN1010T008A is a 10.1 inch WXGA capacitive touch display integrating a 1280 × 800 TFT LCD with a projected capacitive touch panel. Delivering 850 cd/m² typical TPM brightness and driven by a Microchip® maXTouch controller, it is designed for embedded HMI systems that require good visibility, reliable touch performance, and straightforward system integration.
The display provides 850 cd/m² typical brightness after touch integration (TPM), rather than the brightness of the bare LCD panel. This makes the specification more representative of the luminance available in the final product.
The brightness level is suitable for equipment installed near windows, factory floors, transportation terminals, and other environments with relatively high ambient light. For continuous direct sunlight, optical bonding or a higher-brightness configuration may still be considered depending on the application.
The 1280 × 800 resolution provides noticeably more workspace than traditional 1024 × 600 or 800 × 480 displays. It allows more operating information, graphics, and control elements to be presented simultaneously, reducing the need for frequent page switching in HMI applications.
The touch panel is driven by the Microchip maXTouch mXT1066D controller and supports 5-point capacitive touch. The controller is widely adopted in embedded and industrial applications due to its mature firmware ecosystem and reliable touch performance.
A 3.0 mm chemically strengthened cover glass offers improved durability for equipment subjected to frequent user interaction. The G+G structure also provides stable optical characteristics and supports further customization when required.
The TFT communicates through an LVDS interface, while the touch controller uses I²C, making the module suitable for embedded Linux systems, ARM-based platforms, industrial controllers, and other custom hardware.

The specified 850 cd/m² is the TPM brightness, representing the luminance of the complete touch display after the touch panel has been integrated with the LCD. This value better reflects the brightness users experience in the finished product.
It depends on the installation environment. Around 850 cd/m² is suitable for many bright indoor locations and semi-outdoor applications. Equipment exposed to continuous direct sunlight may require optical bonding, anti-reflective treatments, or even higher brightness depending on ambient conditions.
LVDS remains widely used because it offers stable signal transmission, good electromagnetic compatibility, and broad compatibility with industrial computing platforms. Many embedded systems continue to use LVDS for long product life cycles.
Yes. Customization options typically include cover glass thickness, surface treatments, silk-screen printing, touch controller configuration, FPC design, mechanical dimensions, and optical bonding, depending on project requirements.
A 10.1-inch 1280 × 800 display provides additional screen space for graphical user interfaces, making it suitable for industrial HMIs, medical equipment, charging terminals, transportation systems, and other embedded devices that display multiple controls or real-time information simultaneously.
